Boston Premiere -- Meet the Director! On October 10, 1996 SAWA (South Asian Women for Action), with the support of Way Net and other Boston activist groups, will present VOICES HEARD / SISTERS UNSEEN, Grace Poore's documentary about battered women who are in prostitution, living with HIV/AIDS, deaf, disabled, lesbian, or undocumented. We hope to see you there.

In the Omnivore's Canadian News section you'll now find The Sustainable Times, a newsmagazine on environment and community economics. Thanks to Sean Kelly. In the US local papers by state section, we have fixed two typos so that The Washingtonian Magazine link and Nashville's NewsChannel 5 Online both actually work now. Typ 'o the Omnee-hat to Robert Beasley fer the pointer.

The Omnivore has added links to news and information from Cambodia and Korea. Thanks to David Badagnani (Cambodia) and Bill Fudge (Korea) for the tips. While we were at it, we re-formatted the rest of the Asian news page to make it even easier to navigate.

We've updated the African news section of the Omnivore, with links to The Africa News Service and a new paper from Holland, the The Ghanaian Newsrunner. The rest of the African links have also been checked and updated, so try 'em out. The Africa News Service looks so good it has replaced the ANC page on QuickNews. The ANC page is still available from the African page, though.
